Every student at ISL now has a personalised map tracking growth across eight dimensions, not just academic marks. This term was the first full cycle of building, reviewing, and acting on it.
Teachers meet with mentors and families at set points across the year to walk through the map together — not as a report card, but as a conversation about where a child is drawing strength from, and where they're being stretched.
The early read: children talk about their own growth differently when the language extends past grades. Several mentors noted students bringing up the map unprompted, using it to explain a choice they made rather than just a result they got.
