leadershipbegins
Leadership, in a child, doesn’t show up all at once. It begins in how they engage with what they are learning. In most systems, marks become the proxy for ability. Over time, that narrows how children see themselves - and what they believe they are capable of.
What lies ahead will depend less on what children know, and more on how they think and what they do with it. ISL is built around this fuller picture.
We believe strongly that a child’s ability is not one-dimensional.
It shows up in how they think, create, interact, and respond.
At Indian School of Leadership, students are taught to draw from different intelligences from the early years. Leadership begins to take shape in how children learn, what they are trusted with, and what they take responsibility for.

The curriculum is Cambridge IGCSE. What happens inside it is ISL.
ISL follows the Cambridge IGCSE - a rigorous, globally recognised framework that gives students a strong academic foundation. Growth at ISL is tracked across eight dimensions - not just academic marks. A personalised map is built for each child, reviewed with teachers, mentors, and families across the year. Students become adept at drawing from multiple intelligences - intellectual, creative, social, ethical, and practical as they engage with what they are learning. This is not separate from the curriculum. It is part of how everyday learning unfolds.

Honing from multiple intelligences
Physical
Sports participation, fitness benchmarks, activity consistency.
Emotional
Conflict resolution, self-reflection journals, response to setbacks.
Intellectual
Reasoning assessments, research projects, debate quality.

Social
Peer feedback, team contributions, ability to include others.
Practical
Budgeting, project planning, tech creation (not consumption).
Who a child learns from, shapes what they become.
The guides at ISL are chosen for what they believe. They guide, question, and build alongside children - nudging growth daily, not just marking it.

Mentors from business, design, science, and public life who give their time because they remember what it felt like to be told they had potential.
The founding team built ISL because they believed something better was possible. They’re still here , still in the building, still in conversation with parents, still accountable for what this school does and doesn’t do.

Four campuses, one continuous journey.
Each space designed for the way children learn – from wonder to depth to leadership. ISL learning environments are shaped around exploration, discussion, making, reflection, and collaboration.
Early Years campuses focus on wonder, guided play, and early responsibility. Main School campuses build depth, leadership, and real‑world problem‑solving.
The school currently spans four campuses across Bangalore:
What you will see across all campuses:
